CHRIST
MY LIVING HOPE
BREAD
22 We know that the whole creation has been groaning as
in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time. 23 Not
only so, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan
inwardly as we wait eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our
bodies. 24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen
is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? 25 But
if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently. Romans 8:22-25 (NIV)
21 Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope: 22 Because
of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23 They
are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. 24 I
say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:21-24 (NIV)
12 Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing
fulfilled is a tree of life. Proverbs
13:12 (NIV)
3 No one whose hope is in you will ever be put to shame,
but they will be put to shame who are treacherous without excuse. Psalms 25:3 (NIV)
17 A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all
its great strength it cannot save. 18 But the eyes of the LORD are on those who fear him, on
those whose hope is in his unfailing love.
Psalms 33:17-18 (NIV)
28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator
of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his
understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power
of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men
stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their
strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow
weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah
40:28-31 (NIV)
11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has
appeared to all men. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly
passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present
age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope--the glorious
appearing of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who
gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself
a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good. Titus 2:11-14 (NIV)
9 This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full
acceptance 10 (and for this we labor and strive), that we have put
our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, and especially of
those who believe. 1 Timothy 4:9-10 (NIV)
1 How great is the love the Father has lavished on us,
that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason
the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Dear
friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made
known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see
him as he is. 3 Everyone who has this hope in him purifies himself,
just as he is pure. 1 John 3:1-3 (NIV)
20 We wait in hope for the LORD; he is our help and our shield. 21 In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. 22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD, even as we put our hope in you. Psalms 33:20-22 (NIV)

“The future belongs to those who belong to
God. This is hope.” W.T. Purkiser
“As believers determined to honor Christ with every portion of our lives, our lips should come into harmony with our actions as we praise God at every opportunity. This is how we live with a heavenly perspective—one that is set on the One who can transform our darkest situation into one of hope and light.” Michael Youssef
“Strive believer not to seek refuge in anything or anyone
besides the Lord our God. All else will
surely be found wanting. It is He Who is
the Rock that is greater than all. It is He Who is sufficient to meet our every
need. It is He Who gives our feet a firm
place to stand when the winds of life blow hard. Look to Jesus alone – all else is
fleeting. Why go to the paste gem when
the diamond is so readily offered?” BHY
“My hope
is not in a cure today. My hope is not the absence of suffering and comfort
returned. My hope is in the presence of the One who promises never to leave or
forsake, the One who declares nothing “will be able to separate us from the
love of God.” (Romans 8:39). Nothing. Your story is a good story. In the grief,
pain and hard, the Author has a plan. It may feel like a desperate breaking of
your very heart, but suffering is not the absence of God or good.” Kara
Tippetts
“In the gospel we discover that we are far more wicked than we ever dared believe, yet more loved than we ever dared hope.” Tim Keller
“Christian, do you believe that He has your best interest at heart? Do you believe that He has rescued you from the dominion of darkness? Do you believe He loves you with an everlasting love? Do you believe that He will never forsake you? Do you believe that His faithfulness is new every morning? Do you believe that He died for you and if He already did the greater will He not do the lesser? Do you believe that He rejoices over you with singing? Do you believe that He would leave the ninety-nine to come and find you? Do you believe that in Him there is comfort, peace and joy? Then look to Him and have hope.” BHY
“No matter what happens in life, remember this: You have a Savior. As a Christian, you have been saved from death. You have been saved from eternal punishment and hell. You have the hope that when you die, you will go straight to heaven. That is the most important thing about the Christian life. There is a Heaven waiting for you. You have a Savior.” Greg Laurie
