PLEASANT
PEACE
BREAD
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness
and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those
who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions
and desires. 25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with
the Spirit. Galatians 5:22-25 (NIV)
30 A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots
the bones. Proverbs 14:30 (NIV)
11 Come, my children, listen to me; I will teach you the
fear of the LORD. 12 Whoever
of you loves life and desires to see many good days, 13 keep
your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking lies. 14 Turn
from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. 15 The
eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their cry; 16 the
face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off the memory of them
from the earth. Psalms 34:11-16 (NIV)
1 Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house
full of feasting, with strife. Proverbs
17:1 (NIV)
3 You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is
steadfast, because he trusts in you. 4 Trust in the LORD forever, for the LORD, the LORD, is
the Rock eternal. Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV)
11 The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD
blesses his people with peace. Psalms 29:11 (NIV)
10 A
little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they
will not be found. 11 But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great
peace. Psalms 37:10-11 (NIV)
27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and
do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV)
13 May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as
you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy
Spirit. Romans 15:13 (NIV)
16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at
all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 (NIV)
BUTTER
“A peaceable man does more good than a
learned one.” Thomas
a Kempis
“Worry is the great robber of peace and joy. What has it ever done for us except to make us miserable and steal away our valuable time? Can we really afford to give in to its far-reaching destruction? If we are a child of the King, if it is true that God is our loving Father and that all of His promises are for us and “yes” in Jesus, then what do we have to worry about?” BHY
“Peace
reigns where our Lord reigns.” Julian of Norwich
HEART SAVOR
- · Only a believer in
sweet Jesus can be kept in perfect peace.
The world does not offer that.
- · Great peace have
they who love God’s Law and nothing can make them stumble.
- ·
Peace is a Fruit
of the Spirit and every believer has it though sometimes we shrink it with our own
poor choices.
