NEVER
WAVER
BREAD
15 See, I set before you today life and prosperity, death
and destruction. 16 For I
command you today to love the LORD
your God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then
you will live and increase, and the LORD
your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess. 17 But if your heart turns away and you
are not obedient, and if you are drawn away to bow down to other gods and
worship them, 18 I declare to
you this day that you will certainly be destroyed. You will not live long in
the land you are crossing the Jordan to enter and possess. 19 This day I call heaven and earth as
witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and
curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the LORD your God, listen to his voice, and
hold fast to him. For the LORD is
your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your
fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
Deuteronomy 30:15-20 (NIV)
14 “Now
fear the LORD and serve him with
all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your forefathers worshiped beyond the
River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD.
15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:14-15 (NIV)
21 Elijah
went before the people and said, “How long will you waver between two opinions?
If the LORD is God, follow him;
but if Baal is God, follow him.” But the people said nothing. 1 Kings 18:21 (NIV)
8 “But if I go to the east, he is not there; if I go to the
west, I do not find him. 9 When he
is at work in the north, I do not see him; when he turns to the south, I catch
no glimpse of him.
10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” Job 23:8-10 (NIV)
10 But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” Job 23:8-10 (NIV)
25 I know that my Redeemer lives, and that in the end he
will stand upon the earth. 26 And
after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; 27 I myself will see him with my own
eyes--I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me! Job 19:25-27

6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, because
anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those
who earnestly seek him. Hebrews 11:6 (NIV)
17 By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac
as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one
and only son, 18 even though God
had said to him, “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.” 19 Abraham
reasoned that God could raise the dead, and figuratively speaking, he did
receive Isaac back from death. Hebrews
11:17-19 (NIV)
18 Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and
so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall
your offspring be.” 19 Without weakening in his faith, he faced
the fact that his body was as good as dead--since he was about a hundred years
old--and that Sarah's womb was also dead. 20 Yet
he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was
strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being
fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. 22 This is why “it was credited to him as
righteousness.” 23 The words “it
was credited to him” were written not for him alone, 24 but also for us, to whom God will credit
righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the
dead.
Romans
4:18-24 (NIV)

“Abraham’s
faith seemed to be in a thorough correspondence with the power and constant faithfulness
of Jehovah. In the outward
circumstances in which he was placed, he had not the greatest cause to expect
the fulfillment of the promise. Yet he
believed the Word of the Lord, and looked forward to the time when his seed
should be as the stars of heaven for multitude.
O my soul, thou hast not one single promise only, like Abraham, but a
thousand promises, and many patterns of faithful believers before thee: it behooves thee, therefore, to rely with
confidence upon the Word of God. And
though He delayeth His help, and the evil seemeth to grow worse and worse, be
not weak, but rather strong, and rejoice, since the most glorious promises of
God are generally fulfilled in such a wondrous manner that He steps forth to
save us at a time when there is the least appearance of it. He commonly brings His help in our greatest
extremity, that His finger may plainly appear in our deliverance. And this method He chooses that we may not
trust upon anything that we see or feel, as we are always apt to do, but only
upon He bare Word, which we may depend upon in every state.” K.H. Von Bogatzky
“God promises victory to those who endure, so He gives us enough strength – usually just enough so faith is still required – to keep us going. He wants us to succeed and not give up. In the walk of faith, we can’t afford to doubt, worry, fear, or complain – the very symptoms that kept a generation of Israelites out of their Promised Land. All of these attitudes severely undermine God’s work on our behalf, not because He can’t do whatever He wants but because He has chosen to relate to us on the basis of our faith. Negative attitudes and words undermine faith. They devalue the very currency we have to use in God’s Kingdom. Wherever God’s voice and your faith are leading you, do not be afraid or dismayed.” Chris Tiegreen
“There are two things to do about the gospel – believe it and behave it.” Susanna Wesley
“God is unwaveringly good — and we are unfathomably loved. That slays demons.” Ann Voskamp
“Yet our faith did not waver. In much weakness we were going to undertake a stupendous task – not in our own strength but in His, who when He commanded His disciples to ‘go and make disciples of all the nations,’ also promised ‘Lo, I am with you all the days, even unto the end of the world.’” Dr. Susanna Carson Rijnhart
“We sometimes seem to forget that what God takes He takes in fire; and that the only way to the resurrection life and the ascension mount is the way of the garden, the cross, and the grave. Think not, O soul of man, that Abraham’s was a unique and solitary experience. It is simply a specimen and pattern of God’s dealings with all souls who are prepared to obey Him at whatever cost. After thou hast patiently endured, thou shalt receive the promise. The moment of supreme sacrifice shall be the moment of supreme and rapturous blessing. God’s river, which is full of water, shall burst its banks, and pour upon thee a tide of wealth and grace. There is nothing, indeed, which God will not do for a man who dares to step out upon what seems to be the mist; though as he puts down his foot he finds a rock beneath him.” F. B. Meyer
HEART SAVOR
- · God does not want us to do a limping dance between two opinions – if God be God follow Him. If the world be god follow it - but they cannot both be. Neither can one serve two masters either he will hate the one and love the other or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and the world.
- · God gives us the choice – life abundance or death and destruction. It is our choice.
- · Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness.
