TELL
THEM THAT JESUS IS MIGHTY TO SAVE
BREAD
7 How
beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who
proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to
Zion, “Your God reigns!” Isaiah 52:7
(NIV)
14 How,
then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they
believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone
preaching to them? 15 And
how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are
the feet of those who bring good news!”
Romans 10:14-15 (NIV)
23 for
all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23 (NIV)
How
then can we be saved? 6 All of
us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy
rags; Isaiah 64:5-6 (NIV)
23 For
the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus
our Lord. Romans 6:23 (NIV)
6 You
see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the
ungodly. 7 Very
rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might
possibly dare to die. 8 But
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners,
Christ died for us. Romans 5:6-8 (NIV)
12 Salvation
is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men
by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12
(NIV)
42 Day
after day, in the temple courts and from house to house, they never stopped
teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Christ. Acts 5:42 (NIV)
22 Be
merciful to those who doubt; 23 snatch others from the fire and save them; to others
show mercy, mixed with fear--hating even the clothing stained by corrupted
flesh. Jude 1:22-23 (NIV)
BUTTER
“For eighty-six years I have served Him. He has never done me wrong. How can I blaspheme my King who saved me? The fire you threaten burns for a time and is soon extinguished; there is a fire you know nothing about—the fire of the judgment to come and of eternal punishment, the fire reserved for the ungodly. But why do you hesitate? Do what you want.” Polycarp
“Rescue
the perishing, Care for the dying, Snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; Weep
o’er the erring one, Lift up the fallen, Tell them of Jesus the mighty to
save. Though they are slighting
Him, Still He is waiting, Waiting the penitent child to receive; Plead with
them earnestly, Plead with them gently; He will forgive if they only
believe. Down in the human heart, Crushed
by the tempter, Feelings lie buried that grace can restore; Touched by a loving
heart, Wakened by kindness, Chords that are broken will vibrate once more. Rescue
the perishing, Duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide; Back
to the narrow way, Patiently win them; Tell the poor wand’rer a Savior has
died.
Rescue the perishing, Care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save.” Fanny Crosby
“Taking a stand for Christ is increasingly unpopular in our pagan
and pluralistic society. If you believe that God created the world, that
He is a God of both love and holiness, that Jesus died and rose again for our
sins and is the only way to heaven, and that we have a responsibility to take
that message to a needy world – those beliefs will vilify you in many
segments of our society. Our world is determined to intimidate,
marginalize, and silence Christians. But our goal isn’t popularity; it’s
to know Him and make Him known. We
shouldn’t be needlessly offensive, but we shouldn’t be afraid of the ‘offense
of the cross’. These are exciting days in which to bear a witness for our
Savior!” Robert J. Morgan
“Sometime after 1950 we forgot what
Jesus said to Peter and what was passed on to us. ‘Take care of my sheep’ (John 21:16). There
are ferocious wolves (Matthew 7:15). ‘You are to be a witness to the ends of the
Earth’ (Acts 1:8). This is a commission
that still holds true today. This is a
very personal command to each believer, personally, privately. The all-important question is whether you are
getting out the work of God, or have you retired?” Wales
Goebel
“Never, for fear
of feeble man, restrain your witness.” C.H. Spurgeon
“The purpose of
the church in the world is to be the worshiping and witnessing spearhead of all
that is in accordance with the will of God.”
Donald Coggan
HEART SAVOR
·
To have
beautiful feet I am to bring the Good News of Jesus to others!
·
It was so
natural and so compelling for the original disciples to proclaim the Gospel. It was VERY good news. It is to be the same for believers today.
·
We are to
me merciful towards those who do not yet know the Savior.
