How I Trust Him Proverbs 3:5-8 Psalms 13:5-6 Psalms 37:3-7 Nahum 1:7 Isaiah 50:10 Psalms 20:7-8 Psalms 56:3-4 Psalms 52:8 04.29.15

HOW I TRUST HIM
BREAD

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and shun evil. 8 This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones.   Proverbs 3:5-8 (NIV)

5 But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. 6 I will sing to the Lord, for he has been good to me.   Psalms 13:5-6 (NIV)

3 Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. 4 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: 6 He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. 7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him;   Psalms 37:3-7 (NIV)

7 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him,  Nahum 1:7 (NIV)

10 Who among you fears the Lord and obeys the word of his servant? Let him who walks in the dark, who has no light, trust in the name of the Lord and rely on his God.   Isaiah 50:10 (NIV)

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. 8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.   Psalms 20:7-8 (NIV)

3 When I am afraid, I will trust in you. 4 In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?   Psalms 56:3-4 (NIV)

8 But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God's unfailing love for ever and ever.   Psalms 52:8 (NIV)

“Knowing Him as loving Father is the foundation for intimate relationship with Him. First Corinthians 13:4-7 is a picture of the Father's love. Personalize it, and receive it for yourself. My Father who loves me is patient with me, kind to me.... My Father's love is not rude, nor self-seeking, not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs. My Father's love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. My Father's love always protects me, always trusts me, always hopes [believes the best about me], always perseveres and never gives up on me. My Father's love for me never fails.”   Sylvia Gunter

“Lord, when thou showest thyself, let me love thee; when my mountain stands strong, let me praise thee; when thou withdrawest thyself, let me follow thee; when thy countenance is hid, let me still believe that thou lovest me:  under all my changes here, let my soul be always breathing, panting, longing, and reaching after thee, till I shall so perfectly enjoy thee, that I may never lose thee more Amen.  Lord, guide me in this Christian race, And keep my mind intent on thee; Rejoicing when I see thy face, And trusting when I cannot see.”     K. H. Bogatzky

“His promise then is no matter how difficult we may find life to be, He will guide us all the way home.  Isaiah 42:16 ‘And I will bring the blind by a way they know not.  I will lead them in paths that they have not known.’  This is the way God leads His own.  You and I are blind to the future, but He is not, and He has promised to lead all who will put their trust in Him.  Sometimes, because our circumstances are totally out of our control, we not only have to believe these promises, but we must put them to the test.”    Wales Goebel

“’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His Word; Just to rest upon His promise, And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!” Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to trust His cleansing blood; And in simple faith to plunge me ’Neath the healing, cleansing flood! Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus, Just from sin and self to cease; Just from Jesus simply taking Life and rest, and joy and peace.  I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee, Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend; And I know that Thou art with me, Wilt be with me to the end. Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er; Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!”  Louisa M. R. Stead

10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  Nehemiah 8:10 (NIV)

10 Let the righteous rejoice in the Lord and take refuge in him; let all the upright in heart praise him!   Psalms 64:10 (NIV)

3 But may the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.   Psalms 68:3 (NIV)

12 Rejoice in the Lord, you who are righteous, and praise his holy name.   Psalms 97:12 (NIV)

1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.   Psalms 100:1-5 (NIV)

18 yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19 The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights.  Habakkuk 3:18-19 (NIV)

4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.   Philippians 4:4-5 (NIV)

16 Be joyful always; 17 pray continually; 18 give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV)

“I realize that I am not used to the image of God throwing a party. It seems to contradict the solemnity and seriousness I have always attached to God. But when I think about the ways in which Jesus describes God’s Kingdom, a joyful banquet is often at its center…This invitation to a meal is an invitation to intimacy with God…Celebration belongs to God’s Kingdom. God not only offers forgiveness, reconciliation, and healing, but wants to lift up these gifts as a source of joy for all who witness them.”  Henri Nouwen

“God delights in His covenant and so we are sure He will not turn back from it. It is the joy of His holy heart. He delights to do His people good. To pass over transgression, iniquity, and sin is the recreation of Jehovah. Did you ever hear God singing? It is extraordinary that the Divine One would solace Himself with song, yet a prophet has thus revealed the Lord to us: ‘The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.’ (Zephaniah 3:17). The covenant is the heart of God written out in the blood of Jesus.”  Charles Spurgeon

“Circumstances do not have the power to steal your joy.  Joy is the by-product of experiencing God’s sovereign grace even in the midst of seemingly impossible circumstances.”   Anonymous

“Joy is the most infallible sign of the presence of God.”   Leon Bloy
“Solid joys and lasting treasure none but Zion’s children know.”   John Newton
“The weapon of repentance, through rejection of false beliefs and affirmation of godly truth, has changed thousands of lives.  Repentance can liberate the mind and destroy speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God (2 Cor. 10:5) and it can help us discover the wondrous significance we have in Jesus Christ: We are deeply loved, completely forgiven, fully pleasing, totally acceptable, and complete in Him.  Our journey is a joyous and challenging adventure with Christ.”  Robert McGee

“What were we made for? To know God.  What aim should we set ourselves in life?  To know God. What is the eternal life that Jesus gives? Knowledge of God.  What is the best thing in life, bringing more joy, delight, and contentment, than anything else? Knowledge of God.  What, of all the states God ever sees man in, gives Him most pleasure? Knowledge of Himself.”   J.I. Packer

“Joyful, joyful, we adore Thee, God of glory, Lord of love; Hearts unfold like flow’rs before Thee, Op’ning to the sun above.  Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; Drive the dark of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, Fill us with the light of day!  All Thy works with joy surround Thee, Earth and heav’n reflect Thy rays, Stars and angels sing around Thee, Center of unbroken praise. Field and forest, vale and mountain, Flow’ry meadow, flashing sea, Singing bird and flowing fountain Call us to rejoice in Thee.  Thou art giving and forgiving, Ever blessing, ever blest, Wellspring of the joy of living, Ocean depth of happy rest!  Thou our Father, Christ our Brother, All who live in love are Thine; Teach us how to love each other, Lift us to the joy divine.  Mortals, join the happy chorus, Which the morning stars began; Father love is reigning o’er us, Brother love binds man to man. Ever singing, march we onward, Victors in the midst of strife, Joyful music leads us Sunward In the triumph song of life.”   Henry J. Van Dyke

Refreshing Others Refreshes Proverbs 11:25 Proverbs 11:17 Luke 6:38 James 2:14-17 Matthew 6:1-4 Matthew 22:36-40 04.24.15

REFRESHING OTHERS REFRESHES
BREAD

25 A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.  Proverbs 11:25 (NIV)

17 A kind man benefits himself, but a cruel man brings trouble on himself.   Proverbs 11:17 (NIV)

38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”   Luke 6:38 (NIV)

14 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? 15 Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.   James 2:14-17 (NIV)

1 “Be careful not to do your 'acts of righteousness' before men, to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 "So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”   Matthew 6:1-4 (NIV)

36 “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” 37 Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)

“You would often find that in trying to water others you gained instruction. Go talk to some poor saint to comfort her, and she will tell you what will comfort you. Oh what gracious lessons some of us have learned at sick beds! We went to teach the Scriptures; we came away blushing that we knew so little of them. We went to talk experimental truth, and we found we were only up to the ankles while here were God’s poor saints breast-deep in the river of divine love. We learn by teaching, and our pupils often teach us. You will also get comfort in your work. Rest assured that working for others is very happy exercise. Comfort God’s people and the comfort will return into your own soul. Watering others will make you humble. You will find better people in the world than yourself. You will be astonished to find how much grace there is where you thought there was none, and how much knowledge some have gained, while you, as yet, have made little progress with far greater opportunities. You will also win many prayers. Those who work for others, get prayed for, and that is a swift way of growing rich in grace. Let me have your prayers, and I can do anything! Let me be without my people’s prayers, and I can do nothing. You will thus be a blessing to yourselves. In watering others you will get honour to yourselves, and that will help to water you by stimulating your future exertions.”  Charles H. Spurgeon

“But when the psalmist said, ‘All my springs are in you,’ he meant that all his innermost resources were found in His ever-flowing and overflowing Lord – all his courage, all his joy, all his resilience, all his optimism, all his hope, all his love, all his wisdom, all his patience.  The Lord Jesus is the source of that which refreshes our personalities and of all that makes our personalities refreshing.”   Robert J. Morgan

“What is more elevating and transporting than the generosity of heart which risks everything on God’s word?”   John Henry Newman

“It is not the business of the servant to decide which work is great, which is small, which important or unimportant – he is not greater than his master.  If by doing some work which the undiscerning consider ‘not spiritual work’ I can best help others, and I inwardly rebel, thinking it is the spiritual for which I crave, when in truth it is the interesting and exciting, then I know nothing of Calvary love.”   Amy Carmichael

“God employs His people to encourage one another.  We should delight that God usually works for human beings with other human beings.  It forms a bond of friendship, and being mutually dependent on one another, we are fused more completely into one family.  Work to help others, and especially strive to encourage them.  Talk cheerily to the young and anxious inquirer, lovingly try to remove obstacles out of his way.  When you find a spark of grace in the heart, kneel down and blow it into a flame.  Leave the young believer to discover the roughness of the road by degrees, but tell him of the strength which dwells in God, of the sureness of the promise, and of the charms of communion with Christ.  Aim to comfort the sorrowful, and to animate the hopeless.  Speak a word in season to him who is weary, and encourage those who are fearful to go on their way with gladness.  God encourages you by His promises; Christ encourages you as He points to the heaven He has won for you, and the Spirit encourages you as He works in you to will and to do of His own will and pleasure.  Imitate divine wisdom, and encourage others according to the Word.”   Charles H. Spurgeon

“He (Bonhoeffer) felt that what was especially missing from the life of Christians in Germany was the day-to-day reality of dying to self, of following Christ with every ounce of one’s being in every moment, in every part of one’s life…Christ must be brought into every square inch of the world and the culture, but one’s faith must be shining and bright and pure and robust.”  Eric Metaxas

Love One Another 1 John 3:11 John 13:34-35 John 15:9-12 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 1 Peter 1:22 Ephesians 5:1-2 Galatians 5: 22-23 Romans 12:9 04.22.15

LOVE ONE ANOTHER
BREAD

11 This is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.   1 John 3:11 (NIV)

34 “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35 By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”    John 13:34-35 (NIV)

9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you obey my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have obeyed my Father's commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”  John 15:9-12 (NIV)

9 Now about brotherly love we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all the brothers throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers, to do so more and more.   1 Thessalonians 4:9-10 (NIV)

22 Now that you have purified yourselves by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for your brothers, love one another deeply, from the heart.   1 Peter 1:22 (NIV)

1 Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.   Ephesians 5:1-2 (NIV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.   Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)

9 Love must be sincere.   Romans 12:9 (NIV)

“What brings joy to the heart is not so much the friend’s gift as the friend’s love.”   Aelred of Rievaulx

“No one in the world can change Truth. What we can do and should do is to seek truth and to serve it when we have found it. The real conflict is the inner conflict. Beyond armies of occupation and the hecatombs of extermination camps, there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are the victories on the battlefield if we are ourselves defeated in our innermost personal selves?”   Maximilian Kolbe

“Joy is a net of love by which you can catch souls.”   Mother Teresa

“Accustom yourself continually to make many acts of love, for they enkindle and melt the soul.”   Teresa of Avila

“See God in everything, and God will calm and color all that thou dost see!  It may be that the circumstances of our sorrows will not be removed, their condition will remain unchanged; but if Christ, as Lord and Master of our life, is brought into our grief and gloom, ‘He will compass us about with songs of deliverance’.  To see Him, and to be sure that His wisdom cannot err, His power cannot fail, His love can never change; to know that even His direst dealings with us are for our deepest spiritual gain, is to be able to say, in the midst of bereavement, sorrow, pain, and loss, ‘The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord’.  Nothing else but seeing God in everything will make us loving and patient with those who annoy and trouble us.  They will be to us then only instruments for accomplishing His tender and wise purposes toward us, and we shall even find ourselves at last inwardly thanking them for the blessing they bring us.  Nothing else will completely put an end to all murmuring or rebelling thoughts.”   Hannah W. Smith

Fairest Lord Jesus Isaiah 53:3-6 Philippians 2:1-11 Hebrews 10:5-10 2 Peter 1:3-11 Psalms 136:23-24 04.20.15

FAIREST LORD JESUS
BREAD

3 He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering. Like one from whom men hide their faces he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows, yet we considered him stricken by God, smitten by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.   Isaiah 53:3-6 (NIV)

1 If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.   Philippians 2:1-11 (NIV)

5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; 6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased. 7 Then I said, ‘Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.’”  8 First he said, “Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them” (although the law required them to be made). 9 Then he said, “Here I am, I have come to do your will.” He sets aside the first to establish the second. 10 And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.   Hebrews 10:5-10 (NIV)

3 His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. 5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins. 10 Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  2 Peter 1:3-11 (NIV)

23 to the One who remembered us in our low estate His love endures forever. 24 and freed us from our enemies, His love endures forever.   Psalms 136:23-24 (NIV)

“Fairest Lord Jesus, ruler of all nature, O thou of God and man the Son, Thee will I cherish, Thee will I honor, thou, my soul's glory, joy, and crown.  Beautiful Savior!  Lord of all the nations!  Son of God and Son of Man!  Gory and honor, praise, adoration, now and forevermore be thine.”   German Hymn

“I do not think of Christ as God alone, or man alone, but both together.  For I know He was hungry, and I know that with five loaves He fed five thousand.  I know He was thirsty, and I know that He turned the water into wine.  I know He was carried in a ship, and I know that He walked on the sea.  I know that He died, and I know that He raised the dead.  I know that He was set before Pilate, and I know that He sits with the Father on His throne.  I know that He was worshiped by angels, and I know that He was stoned by the Jews.  And truly some of these I ascribe to the human, and others to the divine nature.  For by reason of this He is said to have been both God and man.”   John Chrysostom

“The Lord’s chief desire is to reveal Himself to you and, in order for Him to do that, He gives you the experience of enjoying His presence.  He touches you, and His touch is so delightful that, more than ever, you are drawn inwardly to Him.”  Madame Jeanne Guyon

“No joy can excel that of the soldier of Christ:  Jesus reveals Himself so graciously, and gives such sweet refreshment, that the warrior feels more calm and peace in his daily strife than others in their hours of rest.”   Charles H. Spurgeon

“We have every reason to hold on firmly to the faith we profess, for He who has called us is faithful!  It is Jesus who saves us, lives to intercede for us, allows us to approach the throne of grace with confidence, and grants us abundant grace, mercy, and peace.”   BHY

“Our hearts were made for joy.  Our hearts were made to enjoy the One who created them.  Too deeply planted to be much affected by the ups and downs of life, this joy is a knowing and a being known by our Creator.  He sets our hearts alight with radiant joy.”   Anonymous

Integrity Psalms 5:9-11 Proverbs 6:16-19 Proverbs 12:19 Proverbs 12:22 John 8:42-44 1 Peter 3:10-12 04.17.15

INTEGRITY

BREAD

9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with destruction. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they speak deceit. 10 Declare them guilty, O God! Let their intrigues be their downfall. Banish them for their many sins, for they have rebelled against you. 11 But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.   Psalms 5:9-11 (NIV)

16 There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to him: 17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, 18 a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, 19 a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.   Proverbs 6:16-19 (NIV)

19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.  Proverbs 12:19 (NIV)

22 The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful.   Proverbs 12:22 (NIV)

42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me. 43 Why is my language not clear to you? Because you are unable to hear what I say. 44 You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”   John 8:42-44 (NIV)

10 For, “Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech. 11 He must turn from evil and do good; he must seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”   1 Peter 3:10-12 (NIV)

“Every time we resist the slightest temptation, we honor God.  Every time we overcome even the smallest problem by trusting and obeying our Lord Jesus, God is glorified in our lives.  Whenever we choose character over convenience, faithfulness over ease, or honesty over deceit, we bring honor to the Lord Himself.”  Robert J. Morgan

“There’s no such thing as a minor lapse of integrity.”    Tom Peters

“Lose all rather than lose your integrity, and when all else is gone, still hold fast a clear conscience as the rarest jewel which can adorn the bosom of a mortal.  When you see no present advantage, walk by faith and not by sight.  Do God the honor to trust Him when it comes to matters of loss for the sake of principle.  See whether He will be your debtor!  See if He doesn’t even in this life prove His word that ‘Godliness with contentment is great gain,’ and that they who ‘seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.’  To wear a guileless spirit, to have a heart void of offense, to have the favor and smile of God, is greater riches than the mines of Ophir could yield.”   Charles H. Spurgeon

“Subtle distortions of the Truth, when left undealt with, will always grow into severe deceptions.”   Michael Youssef

“Duplicity is abominable with God, and His soul hates hypocrisy.  To have one foot on the land of truth, and another on the sea of falsehood will involve a terrible fall and a total ruin.”   Charles H. Spurgeon

“Tomorrow we get to wake up and be faithful. Whatever each step brings, and whatever hard comes...tomorrow we get to be faithful in that moment.”  Jason Tippetts

“No man can put Jesus Christ to greater shame than by professing the gospel without showing the power of it.  There can be no more vile and sordid hypocrisy than for any to pretend unto inward, habitual sanctification, while their lives are barren in the fruits of righteousness and obedience.”   K. H. Von Bogatzky
