THE
BITTER HARVEST OF SIN
BREAD
6 Then
the Lord said to Cain, "Why
are you angry? Why is your face downcast? 7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But
if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to
have you, but you must master it."
Genesis 4:6-7 (NIV)
15 What
then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means! 16 Don't you know that when you
offer yourselves to someone to obey him as slaves, you are slaves to the one
whom you obey--whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to
obedience, which leads to righteousness?
Romans 6:15-16 (NIV)
1 Therefore,
since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off
everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run
with perseverance the race marked out for us. 2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,
the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured
the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of
God.
Hebrews 12:1-2 (NIV)
BUTTER
“Sin is the dare of God’s justice, the
rape of His mercy, the jeer of His patience, the slight of His power, and the
contempt of His love.” John Bunyan
“Sin
is a living, breathing organism with will and intent seeking to destroy us. It is referred to in the Bible as crouching
at our door. It is a roaring lion
infecting and controlling natural man.
It is alive and well.” Dr. Omar
Hamada

me.
